Eclipse Golo has been terminated

The Eclipse Golo project has been terminated.

The developers have moved on to other personal and professional priorities. Migrating the code base beyond Java 8 has turned out to be too complex due to the Java Platform Module System introduced with Java 9 and strong encapsulation constraints.

We would like to thank all contributors and participants over the years for their enthusiasm!

Thanks for the ride, it's been a fun one 🙏

 Golo at Devoxx 2013

Golo was presented at the always awesome Devoxx conference.

We would also like to congratulate the Ceylon and Dart teams on both reaching version 1.0 during the conference. Doing a language is fun, but it is hard work!

Eclipse Golo was originally being developed as part of the research activities of the Dynamid group of the CITI Laboratory at INSA-Lyon, and is now a Technology Project at the Eclipse Foundation.
